There are two airports close to Fanari: "Alexander the Great" International Airport at Chrysoupoli, Kavala (ΙΑΤΑ: KVA) in a distance of 70 km and "Democritus" International Airport of Alexandroupolis (IATA: AXD) in a distance of 90 km.

The two airports are daily connected to Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (IΑΤΑ: ATH)  with flights operated by Olympic Airways, Aegean Airlines and Athens Airways.
