Fanari is a traditional coastal village located in the southwest of Rodhopi Prefecture, Thrace. The population is around 700 people. The strategic location of Fanari, between the cities of Komotini and Xanthi, turns the area to the tourist epicentre during the summer months.
You can take a walk in the small port of Fanari and watch the local fishermen  getting their boats ready to sail. The area around Fanari offers many points of panoramic view to  the gulf of Porto Lagos and the immense blue of the Thracian and Aegean sea.
